“Glädjespridare” 2020

Hans Johansson and Blues Sailing Team came up with a prize called “Bästa Glädjespridare” (Swedish for Best Joy Spreader) in 2013 to be given to sailors who spread extra joy in the sailing community.

The prize is in memory of the Swedish sailing legend Mange Olssons who passed away in 2013.

This year I was surprised and honored to receive this prize by the previous holders Jonas and Roger sailing J88.se for promoting the sailing and solo racing. Here (in Swedish) the article on Blur.

Thanks a lot for this special prize.

Since this year is a bit different and no social gatherings have taken place, Jonas and Roger met me yesterday at the harbor where Veloce rests for the winter to hand over the meter long Spreader and two wine bottles! The bubbles went down a treat on the same evening.
