It perhaps borrows its name from the Greek God of Winds. Or from Aeolos son of Poseidon, God of the Seas. Either way, Hans Genthe‘s carbon rocket Aeolos P30 Racer nears its readiness, harness the winds and slice through the seas.
A few months ago I wrote about the original concept, although it carried another name.
In spite of a slight delay on the very aggressive time-plan, the design of the Aeolos P30 is now completed.
Aeolos Composites is currently producing the first hull to be sold to Switzerland for test sail.
Optimised to be easy to handle, light, fast, transportable and affordable (in the 100k€ segment) makes for an ideal candidate in the double-headed growing fleet.
Will we see one in Scandinavian waters already in the coming summer?

Yes, you will see one in Scandinavian waters in 2021.
My company JBH Sailing, is the official reseller of Aeolos in Scandinavia and Northern part of Germany. We have ordered a demostration boat for delivery late summer 2021. It will replace our current Figaro 2 “The Beast”, which will be put up for sale by then.
Looking forward to following up later this summer!
The Beast for sale? With that track record, it sounds like a great opportunity for some lucky sailor out there 😀
The old Beast ( Figaro 2) is already sold.
I’d like to know if your company
