An interesting article by Jan B. Hansen sailing for the first time the Aeolos P30 in Dubai.
Designed for inshore/offshore single and doublehanded racing, this boat picked my interest from her inception. In spite of being a crowded segment, she promises fun, performance in light air and an approachable price-tag.
One and an half year later, she and a bunch of sister yachts are produced and one of them is in the water.
Designed specifically for winning the World’s largest single-handed race “Silverrudder” in Denmark by Silverrudder’s multi-times winner (small class) Hans Genthe. The first sea trial review is written by veteran sailor and sailmaker Jan B. Hansen who, after winning the Silverrudder (medium class) 2021 aboard his Figaro 2, the Beast, has now acquired an Aeolos P30.
Both Hanse and Jan are currently registered to Silverruder 2022, each with his own Aeolos P30. Following their match will be epic!
