Doublehanded Training @Marstrand

Once again, restrictions due to Covid19 prevent us to race.

We set out to meet up with other boats on the water just outside Marstrand and train doublehanded racing.

The set up was simple, but intense: several starts, relatively short heats ’round the cans, but long enough to experiment!

The day turned out to be sunny, with winds between 16 and 22kts from the South and enough seas to spice things up. We had a chance to sail our new jib and found that we were fast and could point well in spite of the chop. A big plus, was the opportunity to fly our smallest kite topping a respectable 9.9kts (for a 4.5 ton 32 foot).

Besides Veloce, 3 more boats turned up, Farrgo (Farr 30), Seaon (Seaon 96) and Bannie (Banner 30).

All in all, a very giving experience and a fun day on the water.
